I’ve historically used a lot of old-school equipment when I draw. I still start with scribbles on paper in a notebook. I’ve since given up on scanning the images and instead just draw from the rough sketches directly on to the computer now. The first couple of chapters of Kickman were made on my Toshiba laptop using a mouse. Yep, a mouse.
A buddy of mine (http://webcomic.mongreldesigns.com/) took pity on me and gave me his old light tablet and stylus which improved my output considerably.
But, as of the end of the current chapter and beginning with the next chapter “Second Baseman” I will be creating this strip using a Microsoft Surface 3. I’m getting all crazy high-tech post-Christmas. I’ll let you all know how the new tools work out.
