Looks like pirate Lana is taking charge of her situation. Team Kick is taking forever to rescue her.
Not to cause a panic or anything, but I was experiencing some chest discomfort for a couple of days. Nothing serious I’m sure, but just in case, I made a little text file on my Surface called “If I die today.” In the event that something terrible happens to me, my girlfriend knows to hand off my Surface to my friend Ruben so that he can liquidate my assets, power down my Hive account, and also upload a synopsis of major events that will happen in the Kickman timeline over the course of the next couple of years.
Just want to make sure that if I do disappear that you all are not left hanging indefinitely. Also, hopefully, my Surface isn’t destroyed along with me. Sorry if this seems morbid, but… I’m not as young as I feel.
Anyway, I still plan to keep drawing these comics for as long as I have fresh ideas. Or as long as I can keep stealing stuff from old Frank Miller comics.
“Iron Maiden” just might be revealing Matt’s age, and in a no longer good way. Lana’s looking “Spiffy” there, and I am waiting for the big reveal on Fearless,,, er, SUPREME Leader.
I remember Iron Maiden well, from my days in the Spanish Inquisition.
Isn’t the band even older than that? (And I didn’t expect The Spanish Inquisition there)
No one expects the Spanish Inquisition
NOBODY EXPECTS THE SPA- (I’ll come in again)
Our *three* weapons are fear, surprise, and ruthless efficiency…and an almost fanatical devotion to the Pope….wait
I assume you’re not in charge of a household’s servants, since otherwise you would be in an even older band…
(Also, that album cover from the time of pharaohs has been revealed to be, well, artistic license. They’re not that old.)
The Pharaohs or the Band? (since Keith Richards isn’t a member, the Pharaos Might be older…)
The older band I was referring to has a person whose name looks a lot like yours, q.v. Geezer. Does it help?
After thinking about it more, I’m thinking that it’s probably Succubus who skewered Grayhawk. Mostly because, for the life of me, I cannot think of anyone else in the comic who was mentioned as having demonic powers (except maybe Bloody Mary).
She “Gains demonic abilities fueled by having sex” (Criminal Minds #7) and is Kickman’s “prison stalker”, so maybe Big K was added as a supplementary fuel source. She also exited the Superior Man vs Everyone fight insanely powered up, so she probably was able to set herself up in a cushy position. Thinking about it, she also got goaded by Grayhawk nee Generic Kung Fu Superhero Sidekick into adding ten years to her prison sentence, so that might’ve been partially why she so grievously injured Grayhawk.
As for Blush… in my stupidest guess yet, I’m going to speculate that Succubus has an interest in softball, and was on the SPA’s women’s softball league, which is why she had a baseball bat on hand to damage Grayhawk’s leg (Criminal Minds #10). As we all know, and to Kickman’s great shock, Blush, while not a lesbian, did play softball in college (Hero Mixer #6).
Somehow, Succubus heard about this, and has nefariously captured Blush in order to force her to play softball. Since Blush has emphasized that she is not batting for the other team, Succubus thinks that she might as well be batting for her team.
It all makes sense! How did I not realize previously that Succubus was a reference to Damn Yankees?
” I cannot think of anyone else in the comic who was mentioned as having demonic powers (except maybe Bloody Mary).”
Just don’t mention Bloody Mary 3 (Three) times!
CTRL+F “Bloody Mary”
Three results
We’re all doomed?
I’m sorry but I just checked out my kick points and found that I have 13. Is that right and if so how?
Sorry about the confusion I forgot that I got ten points for the super model thing. Keep up the good work and fingers crossed for your health and well being.
One has to admit that Supreme Leader uses sound indiviualistic logic.
Of course, by that same logic the villains have every right to topple him in favor of someone who’ll actually protect them. (Well, more likely promise to protect them and then run away with the money, but then they’re a villain, right?) So I guess Supreme Leader is supremely confident. Or prideful? Time, I guess, will tell.
Oh, and nice trick by Lana. Go Lana!
Oh, and about your comments, Matt. First, I appreciate how thoughtful this synopsis idea is. Thank you!
Second, now I want it revealed at some point that Lana has been rescued covertly and told Kickman that she’d rather stay where she is to spy on the villains. (And maybe that will be the source of our heroes’ downfall: someone will notice Lana communicating with the outside and feed her false information.)
Depending on how this goes, they might need to rescue the electro-rogues from Lana!
