Posting a little late today.
A behind-the-scenes look into the tactics the good guys are using. Specifically about the Spider-Man-perfected technique of “the taunt.”
If you talk slowly, then the guy with super speed needs to slow down to hear you. Gives you time to do stuff at regular speed. Batman used the same strategy to defeat Amazo single-handedly.
Anyone have a guess on the End Zone? See you next week!
The Endzone plan must involve the guy with in green the Hawk mask because we haven’t seen him do anything so far. Yeah, that’s meta but meta is how Matt rolls. Bluejay, too, perhaps.
If stinkgas can affect S-Man, what about other gases? I’m guessing we’re going with S-Man’s superior senses again as an out on that one.
Looking good. Reminds me, seriously, of the plotting in early issues of Justice League.
Nope, but you will see Hawk Arrow in action next week! But he has been helping, mostly, he’s been using his Eagle Eyes ™ to keep Kickman’s long-distance kicking accurate.
Yeah, I figure his Superior Olfactory Nerve makes him extra vulnerable. Like vampires.
Always appreciate your comments, Joyce!
why does he need to slow down to hear you? I don’t follow this one…
If he simply rushed you he would cap your derriere before you could finish your sentence. Since he is so arrogant, once you start talking he slows down so that you can finish your sentence. After all, whatever you got to say isn’t going to make any difference and by demonstrating this to you he can prove his complete superiority. It has probably become a habit at this point and when combined with his arrogance he probably doesn’t even consciously realize the opportunities he is giving his opponents.
Oh and he obviously has to keep below the speed of sound if he wants to have a conversation. That may actually be the real reason rather than my armchair psychologist analysis, but I still think it has more to do with the back and forth of taunting and that requires him to slow down and operate at your speed or just slightly above it.
Yes, both reasons exactly.
So is Kickman going to kinetic charge his kick while Superior man is “superior’ retching?
So who’s going to be the new villain after this? Or is it the end of the strip. (sob!)
End of strip? Never! Well, I guess one of these days it’ll be the end. But, no, once Superior Man is gone, that opens up for a whole world of villains for the lesser heroes to tackle. Kickman is just getting started.
As they say, killing the big bad guy isn’t the end. Until the circumstances that produced that bad guy in the first place is addressed, another one will just rise up to fill the void. And another. And another.
They are using ‘Superior’ man’s superior senses against him.
If his nose is that sensitive, he must be in agony right now.
Superior or not, he will be distracted, making him an easier target for the team.
It’s like using Ultrasonics against Superman. Except lot of bad guys have tried that so he’s always ready for it. No one thinks to attack the nose. If I were a super villain I would be The Stench.
Does Superior Man have Superior Decceleration? if he’s heading towards you at speed, and you spewed in his direction, could he stop himself, or would he collide at the speed of sound?
Given his… proclivities, his lack of discrimination and his indifference to others, I’m willing to bet he’s a Superior Spreader of Superior Herpes…
That’s just an unfounded rumor!
But what about his Superior Immune System?
Might just balance out……..
nah, it just means anything that can give him a 24 hour cold is going to kill half of north america before it mutates to a less virulent form.
