Wait, Massive Mabel wasn’t the “big gun?”
Rushed to print on this page. In the process of moving from a house sit in Kissimmee to a pet sit in Tampa (both in Florida). Only a couple of hours away, but it’s a long process moving all our stuff back into a van after we’ve been in one place for six months. If it were a one week sit, we’d only unpack a week’s worth of stuff. This time though we unloaded the entire van, and now it all needs to go back in. Also, I think you’d be surprised at all the stuff you accumulate just living.
All this after flying 10,000 miles back and forth to Hawaii to help my mom pack up her house in Hawaii. My first day back I slept 16 hours I think. That’s why this page was rushed… and late.
Anyway, back to life on the road.
Next week: Big Guns!
You might have missed it because we said it kind of late but Doomedelf and I were essentially wondering if Kickman is related to Superior man
Don’t worry about Matt he will reveal it in good time. We just might have to wait a few –weeks– or months. 😃 It looks like everyone who guessed disowning would work did well.
I don’t think so. Kickman’s powers are not really part of Superior man’s power set, and they glow yellow rather than blue.
That is a fair observation. Which could mean there is more than one.
So about the epilogue sending chills down readers’ spines. Did you mean the part about an ongoing off-camera mass genocide of the city population based on their skin, hair and eye color?
As of this strip there’s no proof that the theory that ‘patriarchy’ is the source of Superior Man’s power is correct, for instance he might still be powered by his self-confidence or self-image (like Marvel’s Gladiator) and what is happening as the prisoners “disown” him is that it is affecting his self-image. That would explain why it would ‘matter’ that children who didn’t know they were related 3 minutes ago disowning him would affect him, because he believes it and can hear them doing it. There are other possibilities, I’m sure all will be revealed in due time.
