Next Week: Kickman Calls Out Superior Man!
For those unfamiliar with the nation of Corto Maltese, it’s a fictional island nation that appeared in the graphic novel Batman: The Dark Knight Returns by Frank Miller. The country (territory?) is mentioned once in the first Batman movie with Michael Keaton and there are apparently some scenes from Arrow that take place there. In Dark Knight, there is an uprising there against the government supported by the United States and we end up in a proxy war there against the Soviet Union (it came out in the 80’s). Superman, now a government pawn, goes there and wins the conflict against the Soviets but they retaliate with a Coldbringer nuclear missile that EMPs the entire U.S.
Anyway, if you’ve never read it you should. It was on the required reading list for Philosophy 101 when I attended Arizona State University. It’s awesome. You can also see that a lot of movie scenes from Superman V Batman: Dawn of Justice and Joker were taken from that book.
It looks like Lana is finally on the verge of a nervous breakdown. Yes, she is now required to wear the Amazon cosplay get up.
Corto Maltese is not just a fictional country.

Yeah, I found that as I was searching for a map of Corto Maltese. Had no idea it was also the name of a fictional adventuring sea captain. He may also be the most interesting man in the world.
Did you just commit Superior Heresy? How dare you suggest anyone could be superior to Superior Man in any regard!?
Well it’s okay for me to say it. I created Superior Man and in that sense am better than him at **WHAM! Matt gets punched through the surface of his Surface Pro 4**
What I meant to say is that I regret my mistake immensely and it was all just a typo. Superior Man is of course the most interesting man in the world.
Also, it’s good to Kickman again.
I do hope that the ‘superior’ douche goes down hard!
He’s about to come up against a rag-tag team of C-List superheroes who have had a full 3 weeks coming up with a plan to depose him. Surely they can take out the most powerful being in the galaxy?
