Superheroes saddled by government intervention. I think that was the plot of Batman: The Dark Knight Returns.
Why on Earth would the United States allow a bunch of super-powered felons to occupy an entire city? And how will the Justice Rangers respond? Find out next week in the next action-packed episode of Kickman, LLC!
And by action-packed, I mean that it will involve a bunch of people standing around talking about stuff rather than taking any action. Well, maybe someone will get upset and overturn a paper shredder out of frustration.
They’ve been Bought! (or threatened..)
So glad KICKMAN,LLC is such an escape from current reality.
Politics. From the root words: poly- meaning “many,” and tic- meaning “blood-sucking parasite.”
Hey! Most people LUV The tick!
Spooooon!
Very useful to gather all the villains into one place, allow them to fight each other and cause limited mayhem.
the old ‘coventry’ idea from Heinlein
Hmmm… I’ll have to read that as well. I’ll call it research.
Do you folks also routinely get to live half your life without experiencing a term or a motive only to experience it repeatedly almost at once? Just started watching season 2 of Harley Quinn. It begins with the same motive (I hope its not a bad spoiler as it is literally the first minute of the show).
I hope they go undercover as the injustice rangers.
I also like the paintings, especially of riding (possibly) bareback, and the commentary using the term saddled
Huh, I haven’t watched any Harley Quinn. Is the series any good?
I’d say it’s largely up to taste, to a higher extent than most productions. Season 2 left me with a mixed aftertaste – many entertaining elements, but it all seemed fairly unbalanced and of shifting quality. Very much gore randomity. Through it all Bane was a lovely character, somehow reminding me of dr Zoidberg. Freeze was a peach.Riddler and dr Psycho were amusing pricks. Ivy’s pet – Audrey II from the little shop of horrors musical was a bronx stereotype that made Boondocks seem subtle. Gordon was a boozed up caricature, some cops were very nasty, the justice league members were either old-fashioned or wierd and childish. Despite a lot of the plot going on and on about discriminating girls as supervillains in a way that made some characters strawmanny (I’m not disputing showcasing discrimination, just that it felt a bit too pastiche at some points in the series) if I remember right I found the first season really great. Still among things comparable in some aspects of vibe I’d rather first recommend watching the Harley Quinn movie, the JLU episode with Booster Gold (Greatest story never told) and Dorohedoro, especially after you make it past episode 4. That said Chinese Ghost Story 1 and 2 are the greatest movies ever made, Popeye musical is a maskterpiece, Xanadu should probably be listened to and not watched and the 1984 Dune has an extremelly underappreciated love-it-or-shun-it soundtrack. Now you know almost all secrets of life, go forth and make the Earth bow to you.
Is BB using some blue blush on her cheekbones? It looks terrible! LOL.
Well, she’s self-conscious about her freckles, so anything to distract from that…
I bet that the gvt are turning against superhero vigilantes, after superior man proved to be so very terrible, and want to let this villain city situation carry on for a while so as to discredit independent superpowered people in general.
But what kind of government would demonize ALL super humans because of the actions of just ONE super… oh, yeah, actually that tracks.
