KICKMAN

Kickman was originally created as a superhero comic series back in 1989 if you can believe that. The original audience size was one person. The characters of Kickman and Generic Kung-Fu Superhero Sidekick are based on myself (Matt, the sidekick) and my best friend Jason (soccer legend). When we graduated from high school we both went away to college – and back in those days there were no text messages and email was a brand new thing limited to geeks in the IT department. So we actually wrote letters.

For some reason I just began writing a page of a comic series called “Kickman” every time I sent a letter to Jason. The earliest pages of the comic have been lost to time (because they were written on lined folder paper in pencil), but the legend that is Kickman lives on through the medium of internet web comics.

Kickman is a fictional character created in 1989 by Matt S. Law.
