Whew! Got this done in time…
I am uploading this on Friday night for Sunday release, because on Saturday I am driving about 8 or 9 hours from Laguna Niguel to Alameda, California. So, I expect I will get zero drawing done tomorrow (or yesterday, for those of you reading this now–or last week, for those of you reading this way after the release date).
I am shocked… shocked! That no one guessed that Cecil was the one that managed to keep Eddie’s identity a secret. After all, he was first introduced to the comic because he was operating a clandestine operation against all the superheroes of Hero City through super secret lawfare.
And now, he has somehow built up the position of Supreme Leader around this schlub, Eddie. And also gathered a team of the most powerful villains in the city to be his… Anti-Justice Rangers? His Injustice Paladins?
The problem I ran into, was that I never really established many “very powerful” villains in my Kickverse. Ironside is definitely one, being my Juggernaut homage. Grayhawk has more than once said that Team Kick is no match for Ironside.
Every one of these villains has appeared in the comic previously except for one. Because, I decided that if Cecil was putting together a super team… he would definitely want a speedster. So, now we have Red Shift.
Hierophant is here! The REAL Hierophant! He has already appeared (kind of) in this comic in two chapters. But once was with Kickman impersonating him and once with Sidekick Matt impersonating him. The second time he appeared, some of the bar folks were talking about him and mentioned that he is “power level 14.” I use the Green Ronin Mutant’s & Masterminds game as my Power Level benchmark guide. And fortunately, Green Ronin with their 3rd edition published the DC Adventures Game, in conjunction with DC comics, so all the stats for their heroes and villains is considered canon. So, who in the DC Universe is also Power Level 14?

Those of you who are DC fans are doing a Keanu “whoa.”
Tsunami is back. I never established a power level for her, but she appears to be indestructible. They did actually split her into hydrogen and oxygen molecules and combust her during the battle with Superior Man. Which may also explain her willingness to join Luthor to kill Kickman. Also, Grayhawk did flood the entire area around the capitol prior to attacking… whoops.
Ivory Tower was in the battle at the SPA. Although she had no speaking parts. She grows big. That is probably useful, yeah? More likely, Matt wanted another babe on the team.
And Cecil has himself an actual suit of powered armor. Which looks a lot like Supreme Leader’s giant armor. Hmmmm…. I wonder what he could be planning….
Everyone… I know you thought that I pulled the rug out from under you by revealing that Supreme Leader is some useless dweeb. But now that the curtain has been pulled back completely…. let the Battle Supreme commence!
Wait, actually, maybe the heroes and villains will talk back and forth for a page or two… then let the Battle Supreme commence!
Team Kick just might be “Over Trained” for that Supervillain squad, unless Cecil actually has a good “cunning plan” for going against a Green Ring. Also Mrs. Kickman finally has someone to punch out, a lot!
I LIKE Sue Nami and she was very heroic in the battle against Superior Man so it’s sad to see her fall into this group.

I’m curious to see how Luthor deals with GreyHawk’s
green lantern ringgreen wrist cuff fairy. Also curious to see how they deal with Angelina. Who will be the first one to be “one-shot”ed.Do not underestimate Angelina’s ability to “distract” males when powered up. Remember when she walked through a Kick-Squad offering words of encouragement? (Don’t remember any as being permanently injured, just deep scars) That might leave only Sue Nami and Ivory Tower as real threats……(heh!)
Probably why Cecil made sure he had some boobage on his villain team. To build up resistance to distraction.

To a degree, but some have it as an explicit superpower. In Kickverse we have Sticky Buns. In League of Super Redundant Superheroes there is Distractelle, who cannot even have a regular conversation with anyone who finds her attractive (her power is always on) as their mind melt away.
Hierophant, we meet at last. Also, I thought it seemed odd for a smart guy like Cecil to get tricked by a street level villain.

Also, Rakkety Tam was right (Psyops 04). Hierophant was behind the supreme leader.
For the up coming CECIL vs. SIDEKICK battle* I can’t help but notice LEX With Hair, aka Luthor Alexander 3rd, has a yellow glowing emblem on his battle armor.
Good thing Yellow only works against Green Lanterns and not Green Rings, right???

Well, if he plans to take Supreme Leader’s place he needed armor with some kind of fire power, to continue the hell fire motif already established. So, the engine of his battle armor is coal-powered.
Matt, why doesn’t LA3 have a “Magic Stick” this time?
He might have it built into his armor… who knows. We need to get him monologuing about his tech to find out.
