Grayhawk look a little bit angrier than usual in this page? He’s not doing any banter or taunting. I think he might be a little bit angry at Sparta for almost killing his not-really-ex-girlfriend. I mean, did he even know if there were people in that building that he threw her into?
Since he’s being so quiet I thought I’d let someone else do a voice-over for this page.
I’m leaving my Weimaraner sit today and will be on the road for about 5 days before starting a new two-dog sit in Huntington Beach. It was actually hot today in the Anaheim area and I spent the morning with my mom and her husband at Knott’s Berry Farm. Haven’t been there since I was a kid. And just discovered that my AC is not working in my van. Wasn’t a problem before, since I’ve only been using the heater for the last couple of months, but now that I’m in southern California I’d better get on that.

Sol Harrison of DC once told a talented young comic artist that what they needed was to draw ten thousand comic panels, then they could look for professional work. I think you may have exceeded that number, Matt, and you are, more or less, professional at the self-employed level. And you’re still getting better! Another ten thousand panels? 🙂 I’ll be here reading all of your strips.
Aww, thanks, Joyce. Like most artists I am probably super-critical of my own work and feel like an amateur. But the other day when I looked back to Chapter 11, I told myself “Yeah, you’ve gotten a lot better.”
Is Sparta anything like Moon Girl? In that case “Sidekick”, an interestingly good name for Kickmans Sidekick, effortlessly beating her might be quite the turn on….
