Final battle coming up!
I’ll probably need to draw a cover image first before I jump into the next chapter. Maybe an homage of that X-Men cover where the sentinel just disintegrates Wolverine (X-Men #143? 144? You all know the one…)
At least Supreme Leader seems to not want to just eradicate the civilian population through collateral damage. But who is this guy? And how is he so powerful?
Speaking of “who is this guy?” just wanted to give a shout-out to Rakkety Tam. Mr. Tam guessed the identity of Supreme Leader! He actually guessed who he is about a year and a half ago. I quietly awarded him 100 Kick Points and let him know that he was correct. The reason none of you know, is that when he figured out Supreme Leader’s identity, he also provided a list of reasons and cited evidence. But because of WordPress security features, if you try to leave a comment that has more than two hyperlinks the comment gets put in “pending” status. So I was the only one that saw his guess, because he provided links to all the Kick pages where the clues were (which is weird that his comment was flagged as possible spam when all the links he included were actually from this site, but whatever, WordPress….).
So, super mad props to Rakkety Tam. When I do reveal Supreme Leader for the rest of you, I’ll go ahead and unlock Rakkety Tam’s comment and share it so you can all see that there were actually real (super vague) clues here in the strip all along. Even Grayhawk hasn’t figured it out!
Rakkety Tam has unlocked Sherlock Badge!
Man, I’ve been waiting forever to make that announcement…

Y’know, the evil leader really is a pretty decent guy. Two day’s warning, on pain of death, to get to safety? That’s a level of consideration you just don’t expect from a villain!
Oooh, that’s cruel. Now we know that it was knowable by pure deduction- and we don’t know.
Well, after you reveal his identity, I hope you do a whole flashback comic showing all the ways that he had revealed himself.
As to kindness in evacuation, I’d guess he’s got some kind of AOE weapon he will deploy- for instance, some kind of minefield- and he wants those millions of people in the blast zone so as to keep out any interference.
Either that, or he’s going to escape now, mingled with the evacuees, and has just bought himself camouflage and a 2-day headstart.
Is Rakkety Tam any relation to Simon Tam or River Tam?
Now to go back in strip time and see if I can figure it out myself.
I thougth it was clear that the supreme leader is superior man?
I’ll let the story tell itself rather than say anything related to Supreme Leader’s identity, other than that the clues were fun to find. It’s always appreciated when a writer plans ahead enough that paying close attention to the “text” gives further insight, kind of like a fair play mystery novel. So good job there, Matt.
I will say that even with what I know, I am on the edge of my seat as to how this confrontation turns out. There are a lot of irons in the fire. In particular, we never did find out what happened to Scandal…
