Assuming for a moment that Grayhawk and Team Kick have some kind of unbeatable, fool proof way of determining someone’s loyalty… how then did Mantis Captain beat the test? We’ll find out in a few more pages.
Also… what the hell card game are they playing?
Lastly, why are those white belts not using the padded, practice shuriken??
Does anyone have a favorite Kick Boy at this point in the chapter? You know, in case I want to spin one of them off into their own series. Follow the adventures of Yellow 28!
guess the traitor just took the place of the real mantis- after all, they are all wearing masks!
It occurred to me that all of the Kick Boys should probably have a number on them as part of their uniform. How else can they tell each other apart?
First, the masks aren’t that effective. Second, what the hell happened to that shirk men in the middle bottom. It looks like it ricocheted off thin air.
Of course the masks are effective! I bet you can’t identify a single one of those Kick Boys in Leopard Squad. That shuriken is supposed to be bouncing off the back wall, but actually I guess it looks like one of those white belts just found an invisible, bulletproof spy….
fundamental rule: You can’t have Treason, or Traitors, without first having Trust. That’s kind of the core of why betrayal is so harsh, someone you trusted turned on you.
I think the card game is poker, bridge or a mix between poker or solitaire.
“Why are those white belts not using the padded, practice shuriken?”
Competency filter?
Harsh, fair, quick, and effective is just in line with team Kick’s MO!
