Hmmm… having a narrator really does enhance the action scenes. It’s like they say in great movie-making, you should “tell the audience don’t show them.”
Actually that might be exactly wrong. No, wait, I think it’s correct, just like this guy is demonstrating…
The narrator will also point out embarrassing foibles. “Kickman farted so faintly that no one could hear.” Which of course steps all over Blush’s toes. So I don’t think the narrator is going to win any friends in this super team.

i think your youtube link isn’t embedded properly.
Hurmm… Ithink it’s a problem with YouTube’s code generator. I tried to have it start at about 3:30 and that seems to muck up the works. If anyone is interested in my demonstration of cinematic telling rather than showing, start at around 3:30.
I’m going to do what I rarely do and make a request.
Matt, give The Narrator a few ‘wins’ in aiding the team. Narration at a key moment – if only the heroes can see it – can be useful.
“The Viper Lord raises the amulet as a blind, leading our unsuspecting heroes into thinking it is his source of power. In his pocket the Viper Tooth is clasped tightly in his hand. The blood sacrifice made, the Viper God intervenes – in exchange for more of the poor man’s mind…”
And then our Ninja sees it. This is just an example of course, but if you’re going to have a vote about whether the Narrator is kept and you don’t want a foregone conclusion then you’ll need reasons for people to vote in both directions. 😉
Wellll….. you’ll just have to see what happens next week…. BWUHAHAHAHA!
When (not if) you do your Kickman Real Superheroins crossover can it feature Phantom Lady if just to watch Kickman melt?
Man, he should be over there right now to catch up with his ol fling, Bloody Mary (or whatever that vampire boss chick’s name was).
Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary.
Darn… Wasn’t by a mirror. (or in a cartoon)
