Looks like she is missing her tech.
Uh-oh. One piece is off the table for Team Kick. But, really, that’s against all kinds of superhero etiquette. You don’t use a power level 14 hero to take out a PL 9 sidekick. That’s like Superman Vs. The Penguin. How unseemly and crass.
For those keeping track I am in Newbury Park, California, which is I guess a part of Thousand Oaks. I am here taking care of a Husky girl named Robbi. It is very hard to get a selfie with her. I’ve taken care of her a few times and love it here. I’ll be here for a little over a week, then heading back down to Laguna Niguel. Next month I am supposed to be in Florida, which totally reminds me I still need to book my flights.

Robbi!
Oh, maybe I should be talking about Kick stuff. Kudos and 5 Kick Points to Archives for his keen observation last week regarding Blue Bat occupying Grayhawk and something-something where’s Green Ring during this? Although I notice you have a ton of points, but nothing really to spend it on since you already support me on Patreon and everything you can buy with Kick Points is available there. Sure, you definitely have bragging rights, but I might need to come up with some kind of extra-special Kick Point award that Patreon supporters can order. I’m open to suggestions.
Speaking of that. I would really like to move away from Patreon and just have some kind of subscription mode built into my site that would automatically unlock the bonus pages just by logging in. If anyone knows how to do such a thing, be sure to reach out. Keeping in mind that I am not super computer savvy.
And finally, enjoy this time lapse video. I did away with the sound track, Let me know if you’d rather have the Kickman theme music back.

Why do I see “pro wrestling” all over this fight? Just waiting for someone to be hit by a chair….
Dang it. I tried and tried, but AI so isn’t I.
Can’t we just settle this over a pint?
So what happens when Blush ignores orders and takes Green Ring out of the fight? Oh, that’s right, Grayhawk gets to sneak attack the rest of you.
And now I’m wondering how many civilians are going to treat the Justice Rangers as villain appeasing sellouts after this. I know I would.
Um, HOW does Blush take Green Ring out??
(need a bowl of popcorn while getting the answer)
Trained Eagles!
She knows his weakness. A sheet of YELLOW construction paper!
Most of them are yearning for the days when Superior Man was in charge.
Did… he have Superior Leadership?
Actually, if holding Grayhawk keeps Green Ring busy (and depending on the level of focus he needs to make his ring work, he might well be), that’s like sacrificing a rook to capture a knight.
Of course, the rest of the Justice Rangers still looks more than a match for Kickman, but time will tell.
Oh, and a forcefield that can pass through stuff is extremely powerful, even for a Gr33n L4nt3rn-like character. I don’t remember if even GL can actually do that (but then, I’m not really a DC buff).
Hi Robbi! You look like a cool and nice lady!
(I know this!!) Depends on the writer, but normally Constructs are visualized then manifested. So you couldn’t shrink something down, but you could make a dome, then fill it with pennies to deny mobility but speed’s usually a factor so they memorize familiar things (Hal uses the Coast City Train as his go-to projectile) + go as big or as direct as possible for emergencies. There’s a balance between complexity and familiarity (Kyle used to be all about this), but the underlying ring mechanics only really become a factor (usually subtly) in the good lantern runs. (and the series is kinda dead) 🙁
So pretty simple overall, but it leads to some really neat character details ESPECIALLY with the alien lanterns and their combat constructs. That tends to get very cool
Nice of Blue Bat to cheer on the team!
And hey, as the current relevant kick-point holder (and thus dictator for life) the best reward is you following your dream!
But… but…. I want to be an actor.
Then I’d non-insultingly recommend politics. It seems the uh.. (screw it) esoteric framework that “powered” acting (a lot of things, but that’s a different topic) has been co-opted by American politicals.
Back in Hawaii I worked in door-to-door sales for a while for a reality TV show on a public access channel (that seems weird when I typed it out). I really didn’t like sales, but one day I was standing on a guys front porch in my neighborhood just chatting with him and he asked me out of the blue if I was running for office, which surprised me. I answered, “Nah, I’m too honest to be in politics,” and I was immediately struck by the gravity of what I just said. That I really thought an honest man has no place in politics.
That’s chilling. (the job sounds kinda cool though!) It is pretty valuable, to be a good person
Maybe theater?
You would be correct in that assessment. As Samuel Goldwyn once said of acting/politics, “Once you learn how to fake sincerity, the rest is easy.”
