Successful Psyops campaign! Our heroes have managed to intimidate the clown into compliance.
The Murder District is now free of villain control. Of course there were no villains with super powers in this district. Just the psychos that the Black Bat spent years fighting and trying to rehabilitate.
I actually haven’t decided on the next chapter yet. I’ll have to start scribbling out some words this week.
But before we continue on, we need to stop and acknowledge Simon Blacke for guessing that Killian “Hat Trick” Deathinator was just Sidekick Matt in more of his cosplay gear. I know, I know, I tried to misdirect you by pointing out that Grayhawk was in the alley. Then explain away that I wasn’t showing all of Grayhawk in frame because I was waiting for a big reveal on his full costume…. Now everyone can go back and look at those extreme close ups of Grayhawk as (s)he was talking to the selfie drone. Skin color in the highlighted areas… definitely not Matt’s skin color. Also, his big forehead curls are missing… and we can see that Blush’s hair is starting to grow in after she shaved it last chapter. She’s got it out to “Eleven” length. So, yes, Matt was Deathinator, Blush was Grayhawk, and Kickman was still Kickman. Because nobody else could fill those super-powered shoes.
10 Kick Points to Simon Blacke!
WHAT???
(oh well done! Well done!!!)
Well I see she’s managed to find her shirt. (That’s what you’re talking about, right?) )heh!)
Anyone asking what they are planning to do with the 75 million US, eh?
More of a superior-grade kicking myself for not getting proper suspicious of the sidekick with a history of disguise! But yeah! That was really well set up and MAN the (lighting) details in today’s strip are fantastic!
Umm… hmmmm.. 75 million US. That’s headquarters $$$….
Thing is, do they have to pay taxes on that? Is it a charitable deduction? Will Death Jester try charging them with extortion?
Stay tuned for the next exciting adventure! (sorry. got carried away…)
Taxes!? Well if the SHMB were still running the capes scene in the city, they would certainly be taking their share. Although I’m guessing the tax collectors working for Villain City would be a pretty dangerous crew to mess with…
A headquarters is a stationary target for the 1000+ other villains in the city. They’ll have to play it low-profile for a while still.
What? It’s a great idea! Beautiful view, lovely property rates.
I can attest that Villain city Infrastructure is to die for.
Thanks! I have fun with the plot twists. I think I’ll have to lay off on them before they become predictable… NOT!
I am very interested in seeing what type of person our intrepid news reporter is at the end of these arcs. She’s gone through way way too much , between Superior Man and now the villains, to not become either extremely hardened and vigilante touch herself, or go a little cracked.
Or maybe she’ll channel it all into just having a taste for BDSM.
Eventually they will liberate whatever part of the city Lana is broadcasting from. Kickman might still be peeved at her because of all that bad press he got from her because of The Prius Incident.
They got paid!
Or should have if they asked for a retainers fee.
It was very clear in the negotiations. Pay in advance! Our heroes got some bank!

Sure glad none of the commenters here would think of making suggestions. (now to get my popcorn and wait)
We’d never do such a thing!
Matt, you keep saying Deathinator! 🙂 LOL. Did I win after all?
Whoops… I keep messing up his name. He’s killed people for less than that!
I said I’d do it, and Imma do it.
I TOLD YOU SO! YES! ME! I SAID THAT!
Sorry for yelling, just had to get it out… I’m okay now.

I wonder what if feels like to be the ball, and to always know you are in field goal range?
That’s what Jester must feel like right now. Just waiting for the kick.
