Grayhawk is doing a lot of Scorpion “Get over here!” grabbing of villains and critters this episode.
I normally write a bunch of clever comments under each page, but I am a little bit drunk as I type this. Had a few shots before publishing, because… why not? I’m in Napa. So, it should be fun tomorrow to check for spelling errors.
Typically when I’m alcohol-impaired my speech gets slurred, and my dexterity suffers, but I’ve always had the perception that my mental faculties are totally fine. But, then again, I think most drunk people have that same perception. So, when I read this tomorrow morning when it is scheduled to go live, we’ll see how my drunk-typing is in actuality. And if I’m more coherent and clever when drunk, maybe I’ll make it a regular thing.
Narrator defeated. Count Mole almost certainly defeated, probably with a forward slap followed by a backward slap across the face. The heroes can finally get into Villain City proper and begin the long, arduous process of retaking an entire city.
And after they re-capture Hero City… what then? It could take years. But after that… will that be the end of the Kickman series? Probably not, but we’ll see. Maybe I’m just feeling overly-sentimental drunk right now.
“Count Mole almost certainly defeated, probably with a forward slap followed by a backward slap across the face”.
As Greyhawk doesn’t have a hand free, I fear Persephone may be involved in the slapping too. Complete with pointy bits and drool!
Blush can slap him!
So empty without the narrators box.
SOB!
I’ll have to start using “character inner monologue” text boxes, which appears to be the standard in most Marvel and DC comics, at least when I was still reading them. Kickman was using them in his origin story, Chapter 9: Kickman, Day One.
Is anyone else absurdly curious why the Mole is named Persephone?
I was going on the assumption she was named after the Greek goddess, queen of the underworld & wife of Hades (because underground).
Yes! And at that point: was she kidnapped? Was Count Mole originally a mole, turned human through some horrific experiment?
“Is anyone else absurdly curious why the Mole is named Persephone?”
NO! WE’RE NOT!!
La, la, la, can’t hear you!
I just thought it was a cute name for a disgusting mutant mole rat.
You’ve conditioned me to expect twists at every turn!!!
In that case, maybe she will turn out to be the actual goddess Persephone. After all, with Amazon shattered there are no gods or goddesses in the comic at all!

AMAZON shattered?
Was it from producing “Rings of Power”?
Anybody else notice your homage to Steve Ditko’s last Spider-Man cover? 🙂
One of the first Marvel comcs I bought on the newsstand. 🙂
It must have been very subtle, because I didn’t notice. 🙂 What issue # was that?
